    The Aesthetic Center
This 12-piece abstract series for the Aesthetic Center at Virginia Eye Institute was designed to bring warmth and calm into a refined, contemporary space. Select pieces are finished in natural maple float frames, adding an organic contrast to the center’s modern design.
This large-scale commission became an exploration of how art can soften spaces and invite warmth and beauty into environments designed for renewal and confidence.

A dynamic pair of large-scale abstracts anchoring the waiting area. Fluid pour techniques create luminous movement, balanced by calm, neutral tones that set the tone for the space.

A burst of energy and a creative breakthrough. This piece began with a textured underpainting built using a vinyl smoothing brush, then evolved through sweeping brushstrokes and layered depth — bold, tactile, and alive.

An abstract interpretation of a landscape — expansive yet fluid. The interplay of line and color suggests horizon and movement without defining it, allowing each viewer to see their own sense of place.

Working within a minimal color palette, this triptych explores texture and light through layers of joint compound and paint meant to mimic brushstrokes. The subtle relief surfaces capture shifting reflections, adding quiet rhythm across from the reception desk.

Organic texture meets refined restraint. Pumice paste, glass bead gel, and crackle medium create a multi-sensory surface — a tactile landscape that feels grounded and alive.

This large abstract evolved through layers of palette-knife and brushwork. Warm neutrals and deep bronze tones connect with the surrounding frames, creating harmony between the doctors gallery diploma walls.
